Business and career coach Dean Long will share his personal story of two career changes, and his associated professional growth and evolvement. Speaker Bio:
Upon obtaining his B.S. in Civil Engineering in 1978, Dean spent 14 years in the consulting engineering industry, predominately in management, the last three years of which he served as a branch manager for offices in both the Kansas City and Chicago areas. Following a career change in 1992, Dean became a Financial Advisor for Morgan Stanley, where he developed and grew his own financial services practice over the next 15 years. In 2007, Dean embarked upon his third career by obtaining his certified coach training from CoachU, and began his current practice as a business and career coach.
Through his coaching practice, Coach-to-Success, L.L.C., Dean partners with individuals and organizations in helping them attain greater success and fulfillment in their lives, both personally and professionally. Through his one-on-one coaching sessions, he guides his clients in realizing and implementing actions needed in order to realize a vision that they have for themselves and their organizations.
Dean is an active member of the International Coach Federation (ICF), the world’s largest organization and community of professional business and life coaches. For 2010, he is President of the local ICF chapter, Heartland Coaches Association. In 2009, he served as President of SHBC – Small and Home Business Connection, a local networking and educational organization of small business owners and sales representatives.

The Olathe Chamber of Commerce is taking steps to help connect job seekers and employers who are hiring. To that end, the Chamber is doing the following in a program initiated by the Chairman´s Liaison Committee:
- Providing networking opportunities at Chamber coffees at a special sign-up area so job hunters and employers can meet.
- Accepting resumes of those seeking jobs, placing them in categorized binders, and making them available at Chamber coffees, at the Chamber´s HR Roundtables, and at the Chamber office to help companies identify talent for employment positions. As a drummer he has released six full-length albums with his bands The Dead Girls and Ultimate Fakebook and as a fake guitarist, he is the current 2010 Las Vegas air guitar champion.
Josh Davenport (@joshuald) is the Director of Communications at Bernstein-Rein Advertising. Josh took that position in August of 2010 when BR started to ramp up its external social media outreach. Josh is in charge of maintaining all of BR’s social media platforms and building the BR brand through external communications. Concurrently, Josh is also a Marketing Analyst at Bernstein-Rein, working with the New Business group to identify and analyze potential clients. In his spare time, Josh is very active in Kansas City’s community theater scene and is an avid cyclist.
Ramsey Mohsen (@ramseym) is a client consultant and social media strategy lead at Digital Evolution Group, a full service e-consultancy firm based in Overland Park. He provides social media consultation and leads web development projects for both mid-sized businesses to global brands, including Hallmark Cards and Timberland shoes. In his free time, Ramsey is also an avid personal social media practitioner. His prolific videoblogging efforts and philanthropic efforts with his annual “Ugly Christmas Sweater Party” (benefiting KC’s Operation Breakthrough) has garnered him recognition from such publications as Ingram’s Magazine, the Kansas City Star and Ink Magazine.
